Our community has a lot of enthusiasts that make this hobby better for all of us. These gamers and painters help us with forging the narrative, converting our armies and painting them.
These Battle Brothers posts will help recognize some of the amazing work that these people do to help our miniature gaming hobby.
I will keep a running list and summary of these allies in a button page link on the site. Thank you for all that you do.
Today, I want to recognize a blogger. First, I will start off with Broken Paintbrush.
Joe at Broken Paintbrush does an amazing job at building our community. He is very active and there is a great back-and-forth between he and his subscribers through e-mails or blog posts. Dreadtober

This is a step-by-step guide showing you how to paint Iyanden Wraithblades in an alternative fashion that makes them look a little more battle damaged and alien to match their fluff. To read more about my rational, see last night's post here (link). These were completed for the #Squaduary challenge.
The Body:I started with a wash of Casandora Yellow over the white prime job that I did. This mostly worked wonders, but offered challenges as I made mistakes with the blue and black that I was later adding to the model. I corrected this with coats of Averland Sunset followed by top coats of Yriel Yellow to match the original color. This works about 80% well. I decided that with the battle damage that I wanted to show on the models that I would have mixes of areas that are more dark than others. This really worked well in showing the wear on the figures.
Next, I did some targeted washes of Agrax Earthshade to add some contrast in areas. I continued later with some drybrushed highlights of Yriel Yellow followed up with a drybrush of Ceramite White.

|Painting guide coming later this week =)|
Steve here with a guide that I wanted to put up for some time. This is the one success that I had with #Squaduary. As I speak, I have at least two dozen models surrounding me on my painting table. At least these ones have been moved to the Eldar cabinet.
Here we have a set of five Eldar Wraithblades from the Iyanden Craftworld. I have painted them in an alternative style to fit in with some of the fluff that I have read about them. Below is the background with what led me to paint these awesome models in this style. I would love to know what you think.
